What a day!
As a Dorset wedding photographer, I get to capture all sorts of incredible celebrations — but Daniel and Frankie’s wedding in Bournemouth will stick with me forever. From the heartfelt ceremony to the llamas (yes, llamas!) at cocktail hour, it was a day packed with personality, fun, and plenty of love.
The day began at the Bournemouth Registry Office, where Daniel and Frankie exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. Being an LGBTQ+ couple, it was amazing to see how much love and support filled the room. Frankie, originally from Hungary, added a wonderful international touch to the day, bringing families and cultures together beautifully.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Carlton Hotel on Bournemouth’s East Cliff for the reception. With stunning Dorset coastal views, the hotel made the perfect backdrop for a celebration that was as joyful as it was unique. And then came one of the most talked-about highlights of the day: llamas (or alpacas, depending on who you asked!) making an appearance during the cocktail hour. Guests were absolutely delighted, and the photos were priceless.
The evening carried on with incredible food, laughter, and some truly funny speeches that had the whole room in stitches. Daniel and Frankie wanted their wedding to feel relaxed and full of fun — and they absolutely nailed it.
For me, days like this are why I fell in love with wedding photography. Capturing the little looks, the big laughs, and everything in between is such a privilege. Daniel and Frankie’s wedding was the perfect reminder that every love story is unique — and celebrating it your own way is what makes it unforgettable.
If you’re planning your own wedding — whether at Bournemouth Registry Office, The Carlton Hotel, or another Dorset wedding venue — I’d love to help capture it for you. My style is relaxed, candid, and fun, with a focus on real moments you’ll want to relive forever.
