As a Dorset wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing all kinds of love stories—but Fran & Ollie’s woodland wedding at Rudge Farm Cottages, near Bridport in Dorset, was something truly special.
I’ll be honest—this was my first time shooting at Rudge Farm, and I couldn’t believe what a hidden gem it is. With 20 acres of woodland, a tranquil lake, rustic cottages, and exclusive use of the estate, it’s the kind of venue that feels made for storybook weddings. More couples really should consider getting married here—it’s breathtaking in every direction.
The day was full of warmth and laughter, and I had the pleasure of working alongside the fantastic Ed Coleman, a brilliant wedding photographer from Weymouth, in West Dorset, as well as Tash and Jess from AfterGlow Content Creators, who brought their own creative energy to the day. It was a dream team—capturing every candid moment from different angles so Fran & Ollie could relive the day forever.
The woodland ceremony, golden light filtering through the trees, and lakeside portraits all made for stunning backdrops. The whole day had that relaxed, natural vibe that makes Dorset weddings so magical.
